Quarrying
Quarrying has been an established part of Thompsons' business since 1975. Four quarries produce a variety of material - from sands to gravels to roadstone. With these resources and one of the largest haulage fleets in the north, Thompsons can provide stone and other materials to meet most requirements.
The complementary and integrated nature of the company's businesses makes sense - to you, to Thompsons and to the environment.
Thompsons is also a major supplier and spreader of agricultural lime to farmers in the north of England and Scotland. A free soil testing service is available to establish pH levels in the soil so that lime is applied in the correct amounts.
