HAUGHTON STROTHER UPDATE
All infrastructure works including roads, drainage, hedge and tree planting, fencing and compound area were complete by the 4th August 2006. Sand and Gravel extraction commenced on the 7th August 2006, leading material to Thornbrough for processing.
Haughton Strother Quarry was inspected on the 11th July 2006 by the County Council, the Planning Department went through the 114 conditions and were happy that W & M Thompson (Quarries) Ltd had satisfied each one.
The quarry is also audited through the companies ISO14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure high standards are always maintained with regards to the environment.
